Copperhead Snake
(Austrelaps superbus)

The Copperhead inhabits marsh areas where it feeds on frogs, tadpoles, mice, birds, other reptiles and frogs.

Copperheads grow to 1m and are quite bulky for their length. They give birth to about 30 live young.

While highly venomous, this snake is shy by nature.
