Mulga Snake
or King Brown Snake
(Pseudechis australis)

Mulga snakes inhabit dry areas, where they feed on mammals, reptiles, birds and frogs.

It is an egg layer, clutch size is 7-20 eggs. Mulga snakes grow to 2.6m, but average size is 1.6m.

It is nocturnal in its habits. Despite its common name of King Brown Snake, it is a member of the Black Snake family (pseudechis).
