Tiger Snake
(Notechis scutatus)

Tiger snakes vary greatly in colour. Usually found close to water, Tiger snakes feed on frogs, rats, mice, other reptiles and birds.

They are nocturnal in warm weather, and may enter houses. This snake attains a length of 1 – 5m, but average 1m.

Gives birth to up to 60 young, but most litters are about 35.
