BELL’S TURTLE
Elseya bellii

Abundant in the headwaters of the Namoi and Gwydir Rivers of Northern NSW, both of which flow inland to contribute to the Murray-Darling drainage.

Closest relative is the Saw-Shelled Turtle found in adjacent coastal rivers to the east and north of its range. Habits poorly known.
