Also known as Yellowheaded Turtle. A member of a complex species previously known as Elseya dentata.

Restricted to the Burdekin River of north-eastern Queensland, this species is well known for the extensive blanching of the head that occurs in adult females. Habits poorly known. (Burdekin River, Qld)
