SANDSTONE SNAKE-NECKED TURTLE
Chelodina burrungandjii

Inhabits intermittently flowing streams in the sandstone plateau country of Arnhemland.

An ambush predator, it feeds primarily on crustaceans and small fish. Hybrids with the closely related Chelodina rugosa are found in Katherine Gorge.
