SOUTHERN BROAD-SHELLED TURTLE
Chelodina expansa

A secretive species occupying permanent rivers and billabongs of the Murray-Darling drainage, coastal rivers of south-eastern Queensland and the dune lakes of Moreton and Fraser Islands.

A sit-and-wait predator, it ambushes its prey.
